Great Halloween Book for Kids!

Kids (and adults!) will love HOW THEY CROAKED: THE AWFUL ENDS OF THE AWFULLY FAMOUS. What a great way to learn about historical figures. Who knew that Beethoven died of lead poisoning?

The book really isn’t quite as morbid as it sounds. Author Georgia Bragg keeps the tone light, upbeat and funny (but still respectful). It’s an awesome way to get kids interested in history. A perfect read for Halloween season. If nothing else, it will make you VERY grateful for modern medicine!

  1. Thank you, thank you, Riley! This sounds like it is right up my son’s alley. He just told me that your hearing is the last sense to go when you die…I’m not sure I believe it, but he is certainly interested in weird scientific and medical tidbits!

  2. I think your son will love it. It’s chock full of weird (and slightly icky) facts. You might enjoy it too. I couldn’t put it down, but of course I like icky!
